As I return from a long week in the woods I feel a sense of calmness within my soul. This is coming from a long and overdue trip that I should’ve done many times already.
I haven’t been thinking about anything career oriented for the past week, and now as I return to civilization I wonder on where I should take the next step. Life is starting to feel more uncertain again, and that’s a feeling that equally excites me as much as it scares me.
However, I woke up throughly exhausted today, knowing that I had to realign myself with my goals and take a long look at where I’m going and what I need to do to get there.
The thoughts are overwhelming. So overwhelming to the point of near exhaustion.
And they’re meant to be that way. The issue I came across was deciding to let the overwhelming feeling take over my whole day or actually get up and do something about it.
So today I wrote down my WHY.
Why am I doing all of the things that I am doing?
Why should I continue on my path?
Why do I deserve the things I believe I deserve?
The list goes on, and the answers are as varied as the experiences in life.
I learned that in order to keep pushing forward, you must define your why.
And if you struggle to find a real reason to reach your goals, and actualize your dreams into reality. Then I push you to ask yourself:
Why not?
