Sometimes things don’t go as planned. Actually, that tends to be most things.

No matter how hard you may try, there will always be a bump in the road. Whether it’s a person, a project, or an unlikely encounter, your days rarely end as planned.

For me, I was attempting to change the format of my blog. Try out a new way of posting, and of course it wasn’t going to be as easy as I would’ve hoped.

Even after spending several hours watching tutorials and navigating my website, the desired format I want still hasn’t been able to be produced.

It makes me upset, a little annoyed and most importantly; discouraged.

Like many, when you feel discouraged it may be time to give up on that certain strategy or whatever it is that you’re working on and compensate for an alternative.

But today has taught me one very important lesson.

Facing the adverse effects of discouragement and deciding to continue on is the one of the greatest skills you can have. So instead of letting the bump in the road stop me from figuring out how to better this blog, I will sit back and take the time to reset.
