Pressure

I have something I’d like to admit. Despite taking the day off, which is what I planned to do. I have the urge to complete as many projects as I can.

Sometimes this can benefit me. The motivation to succeed is greater than the exhaustion I feel from a long day at work, but most often it can get in my way. Instead of planning my day off, I’m only just focused on finishing projects that I hope to see come to fruition.

Refining my blog, finishing scripts, sending out e-mails, writing more stories, and planning my next move. (and I mean literally move, like moving across the whole country)

As I go through my day I realize I have put a false sense of pressure on my day. A feeling that is about if I’m not working towards something and simply enjoying my day, then I’m not doing enough.

I have instilled a pressure to create, rather than the pursuit to live and enjoy.

Again, this can be healthy as I’m focusing towards my goals and resetting them for the remainder of the year. But this can be just as harmful as I’m losing precious time to be fully encapsulated by the moment.

Pressure is good, but too much pressure can make a good thing bad.

So go out there and enjoy life while you have it, tomorrow is never guaranteed. A life living in constant state of pressure to perform, is no life at all, it’s suffocating.
