Motivation can’t only come from a source of one’s own desire.
For it to be rock solid, it has to come from a place of showing up for others. For doctors, the answer is simple, they have to heal their patients.
For parents, they need to go to work everyday to provide for their children.
For artists, this can be a lot more difficult when starting, usually it is the audience that is why the artist creates, or rather, that’s how they are able to continue creating.
So oftentimes, such as the case of the artist, you have to get a little crafty when it comes to who and why you’re making something.
Find someone, this could be your grandma, or your closest friend, use them as your fuel for creating. Self-motivation can become detrimental if you go too far.
Generally the reason comes from someone else that needs you for your skills, that’s true motivation.
