Showing up

At our best, showing up to work, or school, or an activity is the easiest thing for us to do. Like clockwork, we rotate with the time in accordance with our daily routines.

But usually we’re not always at our best, and that’s when showing up becomes the largest problem at hand.

Like posting on this blog, somedays I feel really excited to write, practically knowing what I want to say without even thinking about it.

Other days it’s like a mountain for me to climb, and part of me wonders what’s it really all for?

Showing up can feel like you’re actually going nowhere, sometimes it simply just feels like another day of clocking in. But on those days when it seems like giving up might be the best option are the days that matter most.

The ones where you show up with a smile on your face, even though laying in bed seems like the best option, those are the ones that are subtly going to change your life. The continuous efforts, with very little expectation of change are the ones that compound overtime to produce the most profitable results.

It’s like investing a small amount of money overtime, a couple dollars a week may seem like nothing, but if it’s stored properly then it will return in great stability in your future. Again the key is all about showing up.
